About the Chef

John Wilson, owner of Culinary Vacations, Inc. is a certified chef and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. Chef Wilson has appeared in Atlanta on local news magazine shows including: Noonday Atlanta, Good Morning Atlanta, Good Day Atlanta, and CNN Healthwatch.


Culinary Vacations, Inc. has been featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine, January 1999 (to read this article click here); Goodness magazine May/June 1998; the Atlanta Journal Constitution, September 1997; and the Piedmont Review, May 1998.

When not in Europe, Chef Wilson is the Culinary Director for Perimeter College in Atlanta, GA, where he teaches a chefs program.

Previously, he owned a gourmet food shop and catering business, served as food and beverage director for Fernbank Museum of Natural History and has cooked for Author Peter Mayle and for Henry Kissinger
