Chef Wendy Gay is a culinary educator, catering professional and chef. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Mrs. Gay has served the foodservice and hospitality industries in a number of roles. Her career roles have included Catering Director for Brennan’s Restaurant of Houston, Texas, Catering Manager at the Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead, Club Manager at The Georgian Club, Catering Director at The Vinings Club (managed by The Ritz-Carlton) and Director of Training for the Futren Corporation (a club management firm). Most recently she was the Director of Catering at The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North Hotel.
As a culinary educator, Wendy has served as a member of the faculty of The Culinary Institute of America, teaching Table Service, and Banquet and Catering. She has also earned certification through the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute as a Certified Hospitality Educator. Currently, Wendy is an Instructor in the Culinary Department at The Art Institute of Atlanta, and also teaches cooking classes at The Viking Store in mid-town. Chef Wendy resides in the Atlanta area with her husband, Milton Gay.
As a former owner/Special Events Manager of the Farmhouse Tea Shoppe Deb Seven acquired a passion for travel and became a “foodie” at a young age. From times spent with her big family at holiday gatherings to Saturday morning adventures at her uncle’s Italian market to many “road trips” across the US, food and travel have been a constant in her life.
Deb has been actively involved in the hospitality industry for over 20 years with background as an innkeeper assistant, restaurant owner, party planning/marketing coordinator, catering assistant, special events planner, and cooking school volunteer.
Deb has traveled to 45 states in the U.S. along with international travels to Mexico, Bermuda, the Caribbean, Brazil, Africa, Holland, Japan, Hong Kong, Ireland, England, Italy, France, Spain, Thailand, Greece, and Switzerland. She has eagerly immersed herself in new cultures to learn about culinary delights in faraway places.
Deb volunteers in various ministries at church, creates and tries new recipes, reads and plays tennis. She believes cooking is a great way to express creativity, release stress, and have FUN! Deb is married to Edson and has 2 adult children, Jennifer and Chad.
